Ok, Well, I just returned from Europe last week and it was an amazing trip! I have been traveling with CHA Educational Tours for 20 years and this was the best trip so far. I would have to say that Italy is still my favorite as far as setting but I had 16 women and we all became family. Linda, was our tour guide from London and she was with us the whole trip and we had our own bus which makes all the difference in the world. So, pictures are on my face book if you want to see over 300 of them. I may post them here later.
For now though, I want to update you on the HOUSE!!
These are our painters from Legacy Paint in Knoxville! They just started yesterday which was July 10 2015. They had lots of buckets of paint. My dear friend Allison Chambers, her father is Michael's life long Best Friend Rusty, helped us choose our colors. Benjamin Moore Dolphin's Cove, Cloud White for ceilings, and A Cream and Beige for the rest. I will look up numbers and post them later.
Our Arch is not finished, but it is going to look great! Come on guys, lets get er done!
Daddy came up on July 5th to help us! He is a work horse! A master at his craft. And sweet Uncle Dave is keeping the fan on him as he moves. This helped him more than anything! Thanks Unkie Dave!! And Thanks Pop!!
Jack of all trades Jeremy Hicks!! If you ever need someone who can figure out anything it is Jeremy!
He has been a great help to us and he also has a roofing business. Thanks Jeremy!
Dad and Unkie Dave--Moving brick as he is moving fan.
Today we had Painters inside priming, Stone mason Kevin working on columns- he is an artist! We also had Uncle Dave, Michael, dad and Jeremy working on the brick.. It was hopping out here.
Kevin in background working on the stone columns.
Uncle Dave fixing the Framing that our framer was supposed to do. Our framer left a lot of things undone! Lots of extra work for us :(
But thanks to people like uncle Dave-- we are getting it done.
Back patio-- had some issues with the space between the windows and door-- not enough room for a brick-- we had to cut every piece to go in between. Warning to new builders- make sure there is appropriate space for brick between things. Or you will have a mason who has to cut lots of pieces which takes lots of time...
We are so happy with our Brick from ACME bring in Kingston.
